Kenneth McKay - National Director of Portfolio Operations

Kenneth McKayAs executive vice president/national director of portfolio operations, Ken McKay is responsible for all acquisitions of nation-wide office and industrial portfolios as well as disposition of KBS portfolios. In addition, Mr. McKay is a member of the KBS Investment Committee, which evaluates and authorizes new investment opportunities for the firm.

Previously, as regional president of KBS Realty Advisors and its affiliate, KBS Capital Advisors, Ken McKay oversaw all acquisition, asset management and disposition activities within the central United States. This portfolio consisted of 56 assets containing approximately 11.5 million square feet. Since 2003, the central region acquired over $1.4 billion in assets.

Prior to his position as regional president, Mr. McKay was a senior vice president responsible for portfolio management activities on equity real estate and non-performing mortgages. His portfolio included four separate accounts with a combined portfolio of $1.25 billion of invested capital.

Mr. McKay has been involved in the commercial real estate industry since 1977, offering experience in portfolio management, asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, non-performing loans, marketing, leasing, and development. Prior to joining KBS in 1994, he held positions as vice president of a major savings and loan and as director of sales and marketing for The Irvine Company. He was also previously affiliated with the Mission Viejo Company, a California community developer, and the Seeley Company, a Colliers affiliate. Mr. McKay is a member of the State Bar of California and holds a California real estate broker’s license.

Mr. McKay graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in business from Oregon State University. He also graduated cum laude with a JD degree from California Western School of Law.


Peter Mette - Senior Vice President

Peter MetteAs senior vice president of acquisitions and dispositions, Peter Mette oversees and directs the origination, underwriting, financing, and closing activities of acquisitions and dispositions in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Portland, and Seattle markets. Mr. Mette joined KBS Realty Advisors in 2005 and has 14 years of commercial real estate experience.

Prior to joining KBS, Mr. Mette was an Investment Officer for MetLife responsible for all aspects of real estate acquisition, disposition, and asset management for its General Account activities in northern California, Seattle, and Denver. In his five-year tenure at MetLife, Mr. Mette completed over $400 million of equity real estate transactions.

Mr. Mette earned a bachelor's of business administration-finance and a master's of business administration from Georgia State University.



Christopher Aust - Senior Vice President

Christopher AustChristopher Aust is senior vice president of acquisitions and dispositions for KBS Realty Advisors and its affiliate, KBS Capital Advisors. Mr. Aust’s role includes the origination, underwriting, financing and closing of real estate for the southwest U.S. Mr. Aust is based at the company’s Newport Beach office and has more than 18 years of experience in commercial real estate investment with a particular focus on major markets in the west and southwest regions of the U.S.

Prior to joining KBS, Mr. Aust was a director of acquisitions and dispositions for Principal Real Estate Investors, where he directed real estate investment activity for the western U.S. on behalf of institutional clients. His responsibilities included acquisition, disposition, development, and project finance involving all major product types for a number of real estate equity and debt funds totaling more than $20 billion in assets. During his tenure with Principal, he was involved in transactions totaling nearly $2 billion.

Prior to joining Principal, Aust was an acquisition officer at DRA Advisors in San Francisco, responsible for west coast property acquisitions. He was also previously with Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., for more than a decade, most recently as a director of the Capital Markets Group in the firm’s San Francisco office. In this capacity, he represented major institutional clients in the disposition of nearly 25 million square feet of real estate valued at more than $3.5 billion. He joined Cushman & Wakefield as a senior financial analyst, and also served as regional manager of the firm’s Financial Structuring Group.

Mr. Aust graduated from California State University at Chico with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a minor in economics. He is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).



Bill Rogalla - Senior Vice President

Bill RogallaAs senior vice president of acquisitions and dispositions, Mr. Rogalla oversees and directs the origination, underwriting, financing and closing activities of acquisitions, dispositions and joint venture agreements in the Central United States, which currently includes Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, Houston and Austin. Mr. Rogalla joined KBS Realty Advisors in 2005 and has 20 years of commercial and residential real estate experience.

Prior to joining KBS, Mr. Rogalla served as a senior vice president with SIMEON Properties, where his responsibilities included management of the Life Sciences Fund, which focused on the acquisition and development of research facilities throughout the U.S. From 1996 thru 2003, Mr. Rogalla was a senior vice president and board member for Slough Estates USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of the publicly held British firm, Slough Estates International. His duties included the origination and management of Slough’s development and investment activities in the U.S. During his tenure, Mr. Rogalla directed development activities in excess of $800 million as well as over $450 million of acquisitions and dispositions. From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Rogalla served as a Chicago-based investment and leasing broker with Draper and Kramer.

Mr. Rogalla earned his bachelor of science degree in accounting and master of science degree in taxation from De Paul University.


Shannon Hill - Senior Vice President

Shannon HillAs the senior vice president for KBS Capital Advisors' northeast region, Shannon Hill oversees and directs the origination, underwriting and closing activities of acquisitions and dispositions of commercial property.

Prior to the formation of KBS Capital Advisors, Mr. Hill joined KBS Realty Advisors in May 2004. Mr. Hill has 14 years of experience in the real estate investment field, combining a broad range of skills including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, workouts, and asset management. He has been directly involved in over one billion dollars in equity asset acquisitions and loans.

Previously, Mr. Hill was a vice president of ING Realty Partners. He is a graduate of The University of Connecticut with a bachelor of science in business administration, Magna Cum Laude.



Stephen Evans - Senior Vice President

Stephen EvansStephen Evans is senior vice president and director of acquisitions for KBS, responsible for the mid-atlantic region. In this capacity, he manages new acquisitions on behalf of the company’s institutional, corporate and private investors, including separate accounts, commingled funds and private-equity REITs. Evans is based at the company’s Washington, D.C. office and offers more than 21 years of extensive experience in the local commercial real estate complexities of the nation’s capital and other east coast markets.

Prior to KBS, Evans was a senior vice president of investments with Carr Properties of Washington, D.C., where he was responsible for all investment activities and asset management performance of several high profile properties.

Evans also served as vice president and director of development for The Rubenstein Company, L.P., of Philadelphia, where he managed the development and asset management of value-add properties throughout Pennsylvania, Virginia and Georgia; and was previously affiliated with The Evans Company of Mclean, Va., and JMB Realty Corporation and Cassidy & Pinkard, Inc., both of Washington, D.C.

A resident of Mclean, Va. and graduate of Vanderbilt University, Evans is active in the Urban Land Institute and the D.C. Chapter of the Building Industry Association, and is a founding member of the George Washington University Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis Advisory Board.
